Potentially the most popular night of poker this week, poker night, is on the way to being closed.
On Tuesday, the WSOP will re-open its doors with an eight-hour, two-day window.
The first hour is reserved for players to deposit, check in and start playing.
Then the first hour will be reserved for tournament play, including an all-you-can-eat buffet of prizes and prizes for the winning players.
There will be no entry fee, no limit to the number of players in a tournament and no minimum size of chips.
“If you’re interested in playing, we encourage you to check in.
The poker room is open,” said Paul Zajkowski, the chair of the poker tournament commission.
“That’s the only way to play.”
It’s not the first time poker night has been closed.
In 2010, the poker commission closed poker night in the spring to help promote the Australian Open.
The WSOP also closed poker nights in 2017 and 2018.
But Zajkowsky said he expects poker night to continue in the future.
“The poker industry is going through some difficult times,” he said.
“We think it will be good for the poker industry, good for business.”
Poker night is scheduled to return to the WSOPE starting on March 28.
“I’m sure there are some things we can work on, but we’ll do our best to make sure that we’re there for the long-term,” he added.
